Duns Castle is ideal as a base for a wide variety of activities and the Scottish Borders offers a wealth of attractions and information on things to do and see for individuals, groups and familes. Yet although the estate borders the county town of Duns, it has complete seclusion and rises from 400 to 800 feet into the Lammermuir hills.

Edinburgh is one hour north, and Newcastle one hour south. The fortified town of Berwick-Upon-Tweed only 16 miles away, which is close to Holy Island and some stunning beaches. Berwickshire is a county full of beautiful stately homes, many of which are open to the public. |
